Police seek information after assault of girl at Wyong

Police are appealing for public assistance after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in a park in Wyong yesterday.

About 4.40pm yesterday (Friday 13 September 2019), two 14-year-old girls were in a park in Wyong when a man allegedly approached them.

The man spoke to the girls before he grabbed the arm of one the girls and allegedly attempted to pull her toward a nearby toilet block.

The girl screamed and the man pulled away. The two girls left the park and police were contacted.

Officers from Wyong Police Station commenced an investigation and wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance with a large build, aged between 25 and 35 years with brown hair. He was last seen wearing black tracksuit pants, a black t-shirt and a black cap, with a diamond stud in his right ear.
