Investigators are appealing for information after reports of a child approach in the state's north east yesterday.
Police have been told about 3pm (Sunday 21 March 2021), two boys – aged 10 and 7 – were riding their scooters at the intersection of Scobie and Wentworth streets, Gunnedah, when they were approached by an unknown man in a car.

The man is described as being of an obese build, aged in his 30s, with a tanned complexion, dark brown or black hair and a short beard.
He was believed to be driving a blue or purple-coloured vehicle with four doors, last seen travelling south on Carroll Street.
