Police Seek Information After Crash At Manildra

Police are appealing for information following a crash in the state's central west on the weekend.

About 2.15pm yesterday (Sunday 16 August 2026), emergency services were called to Henry Parkes Way, Manildra, near the intersection of Old Orange Road, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and saw a Nissan SUV and Kia SUV had collided.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver of the Nissan – a man in his 30s – before he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition for treatment of serious abdominal injuries. Police have since been told he is now stable.

His passenger – a woman in her 40s – was taken to Orange Hospital for surgery following internal injuries, and for treatment for a broken leg, and rib, arm and facial injuries.

The driver of the Kia – a man in his 50s – was taken to Orange Hospital as a precaution; he was subject to mandatory testing.

Investigations are ongoing.
