Police seek information after house fire - Yarrie Lake

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious house fire in the states west.

About 3.30am (Saturday 29 April 2023), emergency services were called to a rural property on Forest Way, Yarrie Lake, about 35kms west of Narrabri, following reports of a house fire.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District arrived and found the home well alight.

The NSW Rural Fire Service attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the house was destroyed.

The home was occupied at the time; however, there were no reports of injury.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who may have information, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact police.
