Police seek information after pedestrian hit - Lidcombe

Police are appealing for information after a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Sydney's west.

About 6.25pm on Tuesday 13 June 2023, emergency services were called to the Olympic Drive, Lidcombe, following reports a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and were told the pedestrian, a 59-year-old man, was struck by a Nissan Pathfinder while walking across a pedestrian crossing.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition, where he remains.

The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
