Police seek information after suspicious house fire - Murray River

Police are appealing for public information following a suspicious house fire in the state's Murray River region yesterday.

About 8pm on Tuesday (16 November 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Maher Street, Deniliquin, following reports of a fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze; however, the inside of the property was completely destroyed.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze.

The resident was not home at the time and there have been no reports of injuries.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have dashcam vision or CCTV from area, to come forward.
