Police seek information after vehicle damaged - Coffs/Clarence

Police have released images and are appealing for information after a vehicle was damaged and the driver threatened on the state's north coast.

On Friday 21 October 2022, a mobile speed camera vehicle was parked on the side of Nana Street, at Nana Glen, when a dark coloured vehicle pulled up behind about 5.45am, and the driver got out.

The man approached and told the mobile speed camera operator, a 53-year-old man, to get out of the vehicle before punching the window several times and kicking the driver's side mirror.

The man then smashed the passenger side mirror and ripped off the antenna before he returned to his own vehicle and drove off.

The operator was not injured.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of their inquiries, police have now released images of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation

The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, between 175cm to 185cm tall, and with shoulder length blond hair.

He is shown wearing a hooded jumper and cap.
