Police seek information: Armed robbery, Sunnybank Hills

Detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Sunnybank Hills overnight, May 31.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 11.30pm, a man armed with a hammer broke into a Callum Road business and stole a quantity of jewellery before leaving on foot.

A 58-year-old Marsden man, who was working nearby at the time, was threatened with a hammer during the incident.

He was not physically injured.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who recognises the man, or anyone in the area with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision, to immediately contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
