Police seek information on Aggravated robberies - Greater Darwin Region

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to two separate aggravated robberies overnight.

At 8:50pm, a male youth entered a business on University Avenue, Durack, allegedly armed with an edged weapon. The offender stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.

At 4:10am, a 69-year-old man was approached by two females and a male on Nuttall Place in Darwin City, who allegedly assaulted him before stealing a number of small personal items and fleeing the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said "Police are urging anyone with further information on these incidents to contact police on 131 444. You can also make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."

"This is appalling behaviour and Strike Force Trident members will continue to apprehend offenders who target members of the community."
