Police seek information on Dapto fatal crash

Police are appealing for information from the public as they continue their investigations into the death of a woman in Dapto, a suburb of Wollongong last month, NSW Police said.

Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, near the Fowlers Road overpass, about 7.45am on Friday 25 September 2015, where they found a woman with serious injuries.

The woman died at the scene.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended and were told by witnesses the woman was struck by a truck.

A 20-year-old male driver and a 46-year-old truck driver were not injured, but were taken to hospital to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

Detectives from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command formed Strike Force Straus to investigate the matter.

As they continue their investigations, detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

They would also like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the events leading up to the crash.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to contact Lake Illawarra Police or Crime Stoppers .
