Northern Territory Police are calling for information to locate John Scott Thompson who absconded from Darwin Correctional Facility last week.
Mr Thompson absconded in the early hours of 4 July from the open security section of the facility.
Mr Thompson is a low-security prisoner convicted for non-violent offences and is not considered a risk to public safety. He has links to both Darwin and Katherine. Police have exhausted their initial avenues of inquiry and are now seeking public assistance to locate him.
Mr Thompson is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, 30 years old with a medium build.
