The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information after a 58-year-old male was seriously injured in Katherine on Saturday evening.
Around 1:25pm, Sunday 7 September, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a male had been located suffering head injuries on Callistemon Drive.
He was located by a passerby who transported him to Katherine Hospital. He was subsequently flown to Royal Darwin Hospital for further treatment in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed the injury occurred on Saturday 6 September, between 9pm and 9:30pm when the victim was walking along Callistemon Drive.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating and urge anyone with information or CCTV footage in the area to make contact on 131 444.
