Police seek information on Suspicious person in Darwin rural area

Northern Territory Police ask parents and carers to educate their children about safety around strangers following recent reports of suspicious activity in the Darwin rural area.

Police have received reports that a man aged in his 50s driving a silver Ford Ranger utility has been following, photographing and approaching children.

Watch Commander Len Turner said, "Police are actively searching for this vehicle and the driver. We ask anyone who may have seen this vehicle or who has been approached to contact us on 131 444."

Parents and carers are encouraged to remind children of the 3 R's:

  • R - RECOGNISE danger
  • R - REACT by yelling out an running and running away
  • R - REPORT to a trusted adult
