Police seek information on Unlawful entries in Alice Springs 24 August

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an unlawful entry in Alice Springs overnight.

Sometime between 5pm and 1am, a government premises on McDonald Street was unlawfully entered and a number of small items, including car keys, stolen. A white Mercedes Benz Sprinter was stolen from the location, causing damage to an exit gate.

At 2:30am, the vehicle was observed being used in an attempted unlawful entry at a business on Todd Street. At 4:00am, the same vehicle was observed at an attempted unlawful entry at a business on Hearne Place.

Strike Force Viper are investigating the incidents and have since recovered the vehicle abandoned on Sadadeen Road.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Robert Kent said, "Investigations remain ongoing. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the stolen Mercedes last night, especially if you have dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444."
