Police Seek Information Over Offences On Sydney's Public Transport - Police Transport Command

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations into six unlinked incidents on the bus and rail network of Sydney's north-west are underway.

As investigations into the incidents continue, Police Transport Command North-West have released CCTV images of persons who might be able to assist with inquiries.

  • About 2.15pm on Tuesday 17 June 2025, a 35-year-old man was seated at Stanmore Railway Station where he was approached by a man who stole his laptop. The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30's with a goatee.
  • About 10.00pm on Wednesday 20 August 2025, a 19-year-old man was travelling on a train between Parramatta and Yennora railway stations when he was approached by a woman unknown to him who allegedly slapped him in the face. The female alighted at Yennora railway station. She is described as being of Asian in appearance, aged in her 50s, wearing a grey jacket, sandals and carrying a black "North Face" carry bag.
  • Just after 6.00am on Monday 8 September 2025, a Sydney Trains employee has requested a man cease smoking while standing on the platform at Strathfield railway station. The employee was allegedly assaulted by the unknown male. The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s, with a dark beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, brown pants and a black Panthers NRL baseball-style hat.
  • Just before 5.00pm on Saturday 9 September 2025, two girls aged 16 and 17 were travelling on a westbound train between Town Hall and St Marys railway stations, when nearing the approach to St Marys railway station, an unknown female allegedly assaulted them by pouring water over them. The female is described as being possibly Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in her late teens-early 20s, wearing jeans and a white jumper.
  • About 7:00pm on Wednesday 10 September 2025, a female passenger was travelling on bus number 2830 between Parramatta Railway Station and Macquarie Park when a male made her feel uncomfortable by his actions. When another male passenger went to intervene, he was allegedly punched by the unknown male. The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s-40s, medium build, wearing a multi-coloured jumper and carrying a "Jordan" basketball bag.
  • About 8.00pm on Saturday 20 September 2025, a 16-year-old girl was travelling on a train between Parramatta and Mt Druitt where she was allegedly assaulted by another male passenger unknown to her following a verbal argument. The man allegedly took hold of the girl by the throat and pushed her into a seat several times before alighting at Rooty Hill railway station. The male is described as being of solid build, wearing all black coloured clothing and having long black dreadlocks and wearing glasses.
