Police Seek Information: Shots Fired, Banyo

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident at a licenced venue in Banyo this morning, 9 December.

Emergency services were called to the business on the corner of Nudgee Road and Approach Road around 3:50am, following reports two men had discharged a firearm into the doors of the venue.

Investigations indicate the men, dressed in all black and wearing masks, then attempted to enter the business through the doors, causing further damage.

The men then fled the scene on e-scooters prior to police arrival.

A number of people, including staff and patrons, were inside the venue at the time of the incident, however no physical injuries were reported.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, including CCTV or dashcam vision of the area around the time of the incident, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
