Police seek man after caravan stolen in South Grafton

Police are appealing for information after a caravan was stolen on the state’s Mid North Coast, NSW Police say.

About 5pm on Tuesday (16 August 2016), a vehicle pulled up outside a business on Mulgi Drive, South Grafton.

A man got out of the vehicle and approached the locked gates and used bolt cutters to cut a security chain.

The man returned to the vehicle, reversed it through the gates and attached a caravan to his vehicle.

The vehicle towing the caravan was last seen driving along Armidale Road towards South Grafton CBD.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended and are investigating.

Police have released CCTV footage of a person who they believe can assist with their inquires.

The person is described as male, dark complexion, approximately 30 – 40 years old, and of medium build.

He is depicted wearing a black jacket, grey pants, a black cap and white sneakers.

The vehicle believed to be linked to the incident is described as being similar to a gold Nissan Pathfinder with damage to the driver’s side and is also depicted in the footage.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward and contact local police via Crime Stopers.
