Police Seek Man Traveling Between Glen Innes, Chittaway Bay

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man believed to be driving from the New England area to the Port Stephens area.

Graham Bassett, aged 69, was last in contact with his family on Tuesday 16 December 2025 when he was believed to have been in his campervan leaving Glen Innes.

Officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified when he failed to arrive as arranged in Chittaway Bay last night (Wednesday 24 December 2025); inquiries are now underway into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Graham's welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Graham is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with a heavy build, grey hair, dark eyes, and wears black-framed prescription glasses. He drives a white 2016-model Mercedes Benz campervan with NSW registration XN51TU.
