Police Seek Missing 87-Year-Old Dementia Patient

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from the Epping.

John Duratovic, aged 87, was last seen in First Avenue, Epping, about 1.30pm today (Friday 31 July 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police have serious concerns for John's welfare as he lives with dementia.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm, thin build, white hair, and is clean-shaven.

When last seen he was wearing blue denim jeans, dark long-sleeve shirt, and black or brown shoes, and a blue cap.

John is known to frequent the Epping shops, Eastwood shops, and Eastwood Train Station precincts.
