Police Seek Missing Elderly Woman from Dungay

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from the state's north.

Yvonne Whear, aged 73, was last seen on Campbells Road, Dungay on Wednesday 18 February 2026.

Unable to be located or contacted since, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified yesterday (Saturday 21 February 2026) and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare.

She may be driving a gold-coloured Ford Escape wagon, with NSW registration EWS28P.

Yvonne is described as being of Middle Eastern/European appearance, 154cm tall, medium to solid build, long grey/brown hair and a large scar possibly on her right arm.

She is known to frequent the Murwillumbah and Dungay areas.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Murwillumbah Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 000 333.
