Police are currently searching for missing man Andy in the Murray-Sunset National Park in the state's north-west.
The 25-year-old was camping with about 14 other people at the Shearers Quarters camping area and was due to leave with them today.
Andy was last seen leaving the camping area by himself to hike the 8km Millewa South Bore Track towards the South Australian border about 11am yesterday.
General duties police are being assisted by Air Wing, Dog Squad, Mounted Branch and Search and Rescue Squad officers as well as the State Emergency Service (SES) in searching for Andy.
There are concerns for Andy's welfare due to his limited hiking experience and the amount of time he has been missing.
Andy is described as being of Asian appearance, 173cn tall with a slim build.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper, grey trackpants, black steel-cap boots and was carrying a black backpack.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Mildura Police Station on (03) 5018 5300.
