Police Seek Missing Man Last Seen in Hornsby

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's north-west.

Derek Wenderski, aged 75, was last seen at Hornsby Railway station between 2.30pm and 3.30pm last Friday (6 February 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Ku Ring Gai Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Derek's welfare as he lives with several medical conditions.

Derek is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 173cm tall, slim build, with short grey hair, grey beard and blue eyes.

Derek's vehicle – a white 2004 Toyota Camry sedan - has since been located on currently parked at Argyle Street, Ryde.

He is known to frequent the Hornsby shopping precinct, Top Ryde shopping precinct, Ku Ring Gai, and surrounding areas.
