Police are trying to locate an elderly man who has been missing from an address at Merrimac since earlier today.
William Weeks, 78-years-old, was last seen on Glenhaven Court around 9.20am today.
It is believed he could be walking around or using buses or trains to travel around the Gold Coast, Ipswich or Brisbane areas.
Police are concerned for the welfare of Mr Weeks as he has a medical condition.
Mr Weeks does answer to his middle name "Des" and is described as Caucasian, 175cm tall with grey hair and possibly wearing a dark Akubra hat, dark long trousers, possible chequered shirt and dark shoes.
Police are asking residence in the Merrimac area to check their yards and sheds.
Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Mr Weeks is urged to contact police.
