Police Seek Missing Man Near Snowy River Bushland

Police are appealing for information to locate a man last seen in bushland in the state's south earlier today.

About 8.50am (Tuesday 11 November 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of Rockwell and Dalgety Road, Dalgety about 52km southwest of Cooma, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and were told a man was seen acting out of character before running into nearby bushland.

Police have attempted to locate the man; however, have been unable to contact or find him.

Officers have concerns for the man's welfare due to his behaviour before he disappeared.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of a thin build, between 180cm – 190cm tall, with long hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black and tan shorts, and carrying a pair of shoes.

Police are asking members of the public in the Dalgety and Berridale areas to contact Monaro Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if they see the man.
