Police Seek Missing Waterloo Children

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two children reported missing from Sydney's south.

Normani Murray-Lawrence – aged 5 – and Laphius Murrary-Lawrence – aged 2 – were last seen at a unit complex on Pitt Street, Waterloo, about 12pm today (Sunday 23 November 2025).

When they could not be located, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into their whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for their welfare.

Normani is described as being a girl of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and about 105cm tall, last seen wearing a pink dress and white sandals.

Laphius is described as being a boy of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and about 85cm tall, last seen wearing a navy blue jumper, navy blue shorts, no shoes, and in a stroller.

The children are believed to be in the company of a 24-year-old woman, described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Island appearance with long brown hair, about 160cm tall with slim build, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, red T-shirt, black leggings, black cap, no shoes.

She has an injured right leg and may be seen limping, and is known to frequent Waterloo and Redfern.

They may also be in the company of a 35-year-old man, described as being of Aboriginal/Torrest Strait Islander appearance, 165cm tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing grey trackpants, black shoes, red/black polo shirt, white jacket and black backpack.

Police believe they may be driving a white dual cab 2013 Nissan Navara with NSW plates DH13TM.
