Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from the state's Wollongong region.
Sophia Lyons, aged 12, was last seen on Gipps Street, Wollongong, about 10pm on Friday 12 December 2025.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Family and police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.
Sophia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build, with long red hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black pants and white/blue Nike shoes.
Sophia is believed to frequent the Wollongong, Lake Illawarra and Central Coast areas.
