Police seek public assistance after attempted armed robbery in Manifold Heights

Detectives from Western Region Crime Squad are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man believed to be involved in an attempted armed robbery in Manifold Heights.

About 4.20am on Friday 18 February, police allege a man produced a weapon and demanded cash from the attendant at a service station in Aberdeen Street, Manifold Heights, before fleeing empty handed on foot towards Aberdeen Street.

It is believed the man then fled in a blue ford falcon sedan parked nearby.

Fortunately, the attendant was not physically injured.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his mid-20s, clean shaven, medium build, average height, wearing a white Everlast hooded jumper, black pants, black shoes, dark sunglasses and a white surgical face mask.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation. They have also released images of a blue ford falcon sedan.
