Police seek public assistance after sexual act on Greensborough bus

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a sexual act which occurred on a bus between Greensborough and Frankston in September.

Investigators have been told a 17-year-old girl was travelling on a bus in the vicinity of Lower Plenty when an unknown man performed a lewd act towards her around 9.35am on 22 September.

The victim and offender boarded the bus at the Greensborough Railway Station.

The male sat near the victim and proceeded to perform the lewd act and then moved seats to be closer to her and gain her attention where he continued this behaviour.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The male is described as having a solid build and was wearing dark coloured pants, black jumper and a black beanie.

He had a full beard which was trimmed short.
