Police seek public assistance as investigation continues into assaults - Pyrmont

Police have renewed an appeal for public assistance as an investigation continues into the alleged assault of two teenage girls at Pyrmont in March.

About 9.40pm on Saturday the 6 March 2021, emergency services were called to Pirrama Park, Pyrmont, after reports a group of people were fighting.

Police were told a group of people were involved in a verbal argument, before two females – both aged 16 – were repeatedly assaulted.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, attended and arrested three men – aged 29, 23 and 21 – a short time later on Pirrama Road near Murray Street.

They were taken to Day Street Police Station, where the older two men were charged with affray and two counts of common assault. The younger man was charged with affray and common assault.

They remain before the courts.

As investigations continue, police have released vision of a fourth man, who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, and was wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants and blue sneakers.
