Police seek public assistance as investigation continues into March shooting - Roselands

Police have released a CCTV image as they continue to investigate after a man was located with gunshot wounds in Roselands in March.

Just after 3.30am on Sunday 14 March 2021, emergency services were called to Stoddart Street and Moorefields Road, after residents reported hearing gunshots.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command attended and stopped a Holden Captiva on Moorefields Road, after noticing bullet holes in the driver's side of the vehicle.

The driver, a 32-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for gunshot wounds to his leg and buttocks, before being taken to hospital in a stable condition. He has since been released.

Strike Force Alecia was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released footage and an image of a black Mercedes Benz SUV, captured driving on Moorefields Road, Beverly Hills, prior to the shooting.

Police believe the Mercedes had been driven from the direction of Victoria Road, Punchbowl.

Police would like to speak with anyone who saw the vehicle or has dashcam from the area, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
