Police seek public assistance following armed robbery in Toongabbie

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery of a supermarket in Toongabbie last night, NSW Police say.

Shortly after 8pm yesterday staff at a supermarket on Claudia Road, Toongabbie, were going through store closing procedures.

Three men entered the store and one of the men, allegedly armed with a firearm, approached the shop assistant and demanded money from the cash register.

The men fled the store with cash and cigarettes, and were seen leaving in late model silver SUV.

No one was injured.

Officers attached to Blacktown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police would like to speak to three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of slim build, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, grey tracksuit pants and black runners.

The second man was last seen wearing a two toned grey hoodie, black track-suit pants with vertical white stripes down the side of each leg.

The third man is described as being of Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern appearance. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black Adidas track-suit pants with three vertical stripes running down the side of each leg.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
