Police seek public assistance: Missing guide dog, St Lucia

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Guide Dog Valiant, reported missing from his owner's St Lucia address in Brisbane yesterday (November 5).

Valiant was last observed in the courtyard of the Sandford Street residence on Friday evening (November 4) and has not been seen since.

The disappearance is considered out of character for Valiant.

Valiant is a three-year-old black Labrador, has a bright orange collar with guide dog tags, and is microchipped.

He is not considered dangerous and is trained not to bark if approached.

Valiant's owner, who is vision impaired, requires the dog to fulfil daily activities.

Police have patrolled the St Lucia area today and engaged with residents and members of the public to assist in finding Valiant.

Police are appealing to members of the public who might have seen or have CCTV of the area near Sandford Street around Friday evening to come forward.

If Valiant is sighted, please contact police immediately.
