Police Seek Tips on Reckless Driving, N. Brisbane

Police have charged two men following multiple traffic offences across North Brisbane on 1 March.

It will be alleged between 4.50am and 6.30am, a silver Holden Rodeo utility was driving dangerously across several suburbs within the Brisbane Region and had struck several vehicles.

No injuries were reported to police in relation to these incidents.

The utility was later located abandoned around 5.35am on the Gateway Motorway near the Wyampa Road overpass in Bald Hills,

A 30-year-old Mooloolaba man and a 38-year-old Mooloolaba man have been charged with multiple offences, including five counts each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and fail to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash, and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.

Both men are due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 2 March.

Police continue to appeal to anyone who may have been impacted by this incident and anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward, quoting QP2600400559.

  • Chermside: Gympie Road, at the intersection with Hamilton Road - Police receive a report around 4:42am of a vehicle having stopped and a man attempting to stop vehicles.
  • Windsor: Lutwyche Road, near the intersection with Grantson Street - Police receive reports around 4:53am that a utility had struck two vehicles.
  • Lutwyche: Lutwyche Road, near the intersection with Fuller Street - Police receive reports around 4:55am that a utility had struck a vehicle.
  • Kedron: Gympie Road, opposite the intersection with Mellor Street - Police receive a report around 5:03am that a utility had struck a vehicle.
  • Brisbane City: Albert Street, intersection with Roma Street and Turbot Street - Police receive a report around 5:10am that property has been stolen from a pedestrian.
  • Chermside West: Webster Road, near the intersection with Taggan Street - Police receive a report around 5:15am of property being stolen from a pedestrian.
  • Bald Hills: Gateway Motorway near Wyampa Road overpass - The Holden utility is abandoned around 5:35am.
