Police seek to identify trio who visited Kilburn murder location, South Australia

Major Crime investigators today released CCTV footage in a bid to identify three people as part of their inquiry into the murder of a 61-year-old woman in Kilburn in December.

The vision shows the front of the address the woman died at in Goodman Avenue, Kilburn on the afternoon of Friday 7 December.

Police are keen to identify three people who visited the address, but are not believed to be involved in the murder.

"We are keen to identify a man who can be seen visiting the property on foot about 4.20pm and leaving about a minute later," said Inspector Billy Thompson, the acting officer in charge of the SA Police Major Crime Investigation Branch.

"The man, who is of Caucasian appearance and was wearing an orange t-shirt with white shorts, can be seen in the footage walking away in an easterly direction on Goodman Ave.

"There are also two people we are keen to locate who were in a blue coloured four door sedan that pulled into the driveway of the address at 5.04pm that afternoon.

"A front passenger is seen approaching the front door of the address and returning to the vehicle about two minutes later."

The vehicle can then be seen to reverse out of the driveway and drives away in an easterly direction along Goodman Ave.

"It is not believed these people are involved in the murder however they may have important information relevant to this investigation," Inspector Thompson said.

Police and ambulance crews attended the property about 5.10pm on Friday 7 December following reports a person had been stabbed.

On arrival they located a woman with multiple injuries who, despite treatment, died at the scene.

An 18-year-old Kilburn woman was arrested later that night and has been charged with murder.

Inspector Thompson said any of the people recorded in the footage – or anyone with information about their identity – can contact police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
