Police seek witnesses and footage: Serious hit and run, Wacol

Police investigating a serious hit and run traffic crash in Wacol on the weekend are appealing for witnesses and possible footage to assist with their investigation.

At about 2.20am on Sunday, September 20 a large group of people were gathered in an industrial estate along Viking Drive in Wacol.

Police will allege that during this gathering a 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were struck by a white Volkswagen Passat, which failed to remain at the scene.

The 23-year-old Crestmead man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The 21-year-old Crestmead woman was also transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries. She has since been released.

Police later located the Volkswagen on Boundary Road between McRoyle Street and Priority Street in Wacol. The driver is currently assisting police with enquires.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have been at the gathering and has mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident prior to the crash to contact police.

Police are also seeking for a woman with possible pink hair or any other people who may have been in an altercation at the location prior to the crash to come forward and assist police.

Investigations are continuing.
