Police seek witnesses in liquid cocaine importation

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is seeking the public’s assistance with information in relation to an ongoing investigation into the alleged importation of 291 kilograms of liquid cocaine in a shipment of wine bottles.

On 6 July 2018, two men were arrested in connection with the investigation and later released pending further enquiries. At the time of the arrests in Tallarook in Victoria, the men were driving a white coloured Toyota Hilux, registration YHW 94W.

Police believe the men had collected a pallet wrapped in black plastic from the Elwood area on 6 July 2018, Australian Federal Police say.

Police have requested anyone who may have any information which could assist the investigation, in particular any sightings of the white coloured Toyota Hilux in the Elwood area on 6 July 2018, to contact Crime Stoppers.
