Police seek witnesses to Black Rock car fire

Police are seeking public assistance after a stolen vehicle was set alight in Black Rock early this morning, Victoria Police say.

Emergency services were called to a shopping centre car park at the rear of Bluff Road blaze just before 3.30am.

The fire, which police are treating as suspicious, destroyed the interior of the 2012 Mazda BT-50 utility.

A witness told police they saw several men running from the utility and getting into a second vehicle.

Anyone with information about the fire is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
