Police seek witnesses to bus assault, South Australia

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after two women allegedly assaulted passengers aboard a bus at Daw Park earlier in the week.

About 4.30pm on Monday 28 June, Southern District patrols were called to Goodwood Road after reports of two women abusing a bus driver and damaging the ticket screen.

The two women allegedly assaulted a passenger and the victim receiving minor injuries.

Two 21-year-old women from Cumberland Park were arrested and whilst being arrested one of the woman allegedly spat on a police officer.

They were charged with two counts of aggravated assault, property damage, disorderly behaviour and assaulting a prescribed emergency worker. They were both granted police bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 30 August.

Police are asking anyone who was on the bus and witnessed the incident, who haven't yet spoken to police to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
