Police are investigating a sexual assault in Preston on 15 January this year.
Investigators have been told a 20-year-old woman got off a number 45 tram on route 86 on Plenty Road about 10.44pm.
An unknown male got off the tram at the same time and approached the woman on Bell Street.
He sexually assaulted her before leaving on foot.
The male is described as having an olive complexion, thin build, aged in his 20s, short black hair, 165cm tall and was wearing black shirt and pants.
Investigators have released images of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
