Police seek witnesses to suspicious grass fires in Hallam

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating multiple suspicious grass fires in Hallam.

Emergency services have been called to three fires on Old Gunns Road over the past two days, following reports of large amounts of smoke and discovery of fires on a nearby walking track.

The first fire was reported about 4pm yesterday, and the two further fires occurred about 9am this morning.

Investigators believe that the fires were deliberately lit.

There was no damage to any structures or fencing.
