Police seek witnesses - Unlawful entries in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to two unlawful entries yesterday afternoon.

At about 2:50pm, three youths entered an occupied premises on Wallis Street, East Side. One of the youths threatened the occupants before exiting the premises and attempting to steal a car.

They were disturbed by a neighbour and fled the area.

The youths are described as:

  • 15-year-old Aboriginal male, tall with a slim build, wearing a patterned bandanna, black hoodie with curly hair and light coloured streaks.
  • 14-year-old Aboriginal male, short with a stocky build.
  • 10-year-old Aboriginal male, very small build, wearing dark clothing.

Between 2:30pm and 4:10pm the same day, a second premises was unlawfully entered on Chewings Street with a quantity of cash and vehicle keys stolen. At this stage it is not known if the two incidents are linked.

Police are requesting anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from both Wallis and Chewings Street at that time to contact police on 131 444 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
