Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives seized a number of stolen vehicles after executing a warrant in Reservoir this afternoon.
Police executed a warrant at a residence on Joan Court about 1.50pm and located the stolen vehicles along with an improvised explosive device.
Bomb Response Unit officers attended the scene and safely detonated the device.
Four stolen cars and a stolen motorcycle were seized from the property.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
