Police have commenced an investigation into a suspicious fire in Sydney's south west.
About 12.10am today (Monday 11 May 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a fire in a bakery on Dargan Street, Yagoona.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze.
The occupants of four residential units above the bakery were evacuated.
There was minimal fire damage, however, there was considerable smoke damage which was contained to the bakery.
There are no reports of any person being injured.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command have established a crime scene.
The incident is being treated as suspicious.
