Police Treating Fire As Suspicious At Nailsworth

Police are investigating after trees and rubbish were set alight at Nailsworth early this morning.

About 4.30am Monday 29 December, police and fire crews were called to Harvey Street following reports of a tree on fire.

On arrival, crews found nearby pine trees and hard rubbish alight, with fire fighters working quickly to extinguish the blaze.

No damage was caused to nearby properties and no injuries were sustained.

Police believe the fire was deliberately lit and crime scene investigators will attend to examine the scene later this morning.
