Police treating fire as suspicious, Rothwell

Police are investigating the cause of a fire in Rothwell during the early hours of this morning.

Initial information indicates the Jacka Court blaze began around 4am.

Emergency services arrived to find the house engulfed with flames.

Police believe the fire was deliberately lit.

There was no one home at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

A crime scene was declared around 4.30am.

Anyone with vision or further information about suspicious activity in the area at the time of the fire is urged to contact police.
