Police treating house fire as suspicious - Tumbarumba

Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious house fire in the state's south west this morning.

About 6am (Monday 11 March 2019), emergency services were called to Mate Street, Tumbarumba, following reports of a fire.

The fire was extinguished; however, the building was destroyed.

No one was home at the time and there were no reports of any injuries.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and Tumut detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting (02) 6947 7199.
