Police treating house fire as suspicious - Woy Woy

Police are investigating after a suspicious house fire at a Woy Woy home overnight.

Emergency services were called to the Angler Street home about 10.40pm (Thursday 20 August 2020), after reports a home was well alight.

Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

A 45-year-old man in an adjoining home on the same property escaped uninjured.

Officers from Brisbane Water have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the cause of the blaze, with police currently treating it as suspicious.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between 10pm and 11.30pm is urged to contact Woy Woy Police or Crime Stoppers.
