Police treating house fires as suspicious, South Gladstone

Detectives investigating two suspicious house fires in South Gladstone this morning are appealing for dashcam footage or CCTV to help with investigations.

At around 6.20am police and emergency services were called to Agnes Street, where two neighbouring houses were well alight.

Occupants were safely evacuated from one house, the other was vacant. Both dwellings were destroyed.

Following initial investigations, a crime scene was declared.

Police wish to speak to anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area overnight and this morning.

Homeowners and motorists are asked to review CCTV and dashcam footage capturing vehicles coming and going, or persons on foot between 5.30am and 6.30am this morning (September 5).
