Police update 1: Armed robbery, Eagleby

Detectives have charged a 17-year-old man following an alleged armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant on River Hills Road in Eagleby on November 15.

It will be alleged two masked men entered the restaurant armed with knives around 8.15pm and demanded money from the employees.

They allegedly threw items at one of the staff members, before stealing a quantity of cash and fleeing on foot.

A 17-year-old Eagleby man has since been charged with a string of offences, including robbery armed in company and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He appeared at Beenleigh Childrens Court on November 18 and was remanded in custody, to reappear on January 12.

Investigators have released CCTV of the alleged incident as part of an appeal for public assistance.

Officers are urging anyone with information, particularly motorists who may have been driving along River Hills Drive between 8pm and 8.25pm on November 15, to contact them.

Nearby residents are also urged to review their CCTV for any relevant vision.

Investigations are continuing.
