Police Update 1: Fatal Traffic Crash Charges, Narangba

Police have charged a man following investigations into a fatal traffic crash at Narangba on 12 August.

It will be alleged, about 6:45pm, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Neon Street and Potassium Street, following reports a Nissan Skyline had struck a pole.

The driver, a 34-year-old North Lakes man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

His passenger, a 66-year-old international man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

On Wednesday, 3 December the driver, a now 35-year-old North Lakes man, was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and offence of driving while relevant drug is present in blood or saliva.

He is expected to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on 14 January, 2026.
